This option is for purchasing both the bees and the equipment they need to live in.

Please note that if you are purchasing for ag exemption purposes, most counties require somewhere from 6-20 hives for an exemption. Please reach out to your specific County Tax Appraisal office to determine the number of hives you will need.

Bees are for farm pickup only; WE DO NOT SHIP BEES. Our farm is located in Jacksonville, TX.

Bee pickup is from 7-10am, please be sure to select your preferred pickup date when placing your order. Please note, pick up dates could be subject to change pending spring weather events (Snomageddon, anyone?!). If you have questions about timing, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

About our bees… We keep our bees in East Texas year round so they can forage on all of the local wildflowers and pollinate the native blooms. Our genetics are Italian based, chosen from the best of our best hives here at Elzner Farms®. They are bred to thrive here in Texas. We keep the bees in areas with plenty of wild forage so they are not subjected to the pesticides and herbicides of monocrops.

For each nuc equipment package you order, this option will include:

• 1 Elzner Farms 5 frame nuc:

  • A 5 frame Pro-nuc box filled with bees, a freshly mated and marked 2026 Elzner Farms Queen®, 2-3 frames of brood, a frame of pollen/honey and a frame to grow on. The 5th frame may or may not be drawn out.

• 2 deep 8-frame wax dipped hive bodies (these will have a beautiful natural patina as they age)

  • 1 hive body will contain 3 frames (the other 5 frames will come from the nuc when you transfer the bees into it)

  • 2nd hive body will contain 7 frames with plastic foundation and the feeder

• 1 painted migratory lid (color may vary)

• 1 painted solid bottom board (color may vary)

• 1 entrance reducer

• 1 - 1 gallon in-board feeder

Please be sure to leave us a valid email address, as we will contact you via email with pickup details the week before your scheduled pickup date.

*Note that all bee sales are final, as colonies are created based on the numbers requested.

**If you must change your pickup date, please let us know at least 30 days prior to your scheduled pickup. Any pickup date changes less than 30 days before the scheduled pick-up day will result in a $25 date change fee.

If you wish to put down a deposit instead of paying all up front, please fill out this form and send it our way. We charge a $75 per hive deposit, paid with check, and the remainder (paid with cash) is due on pickup day. Deposits are non-refundable.
